More Than Just a Camera
BodyWorn was designed with the officer in mind. Our philosophy is that we should never ask an officer to do something that the technology could do for them. In most instances with body cameras, it would be having to remember to turn on your body camera when situations begin to escalate.
BodyWorn was built to compute, think and understand the environment that the officer is in, and respond accordingly. Body cameras can be trained to automatically activate based on a department’s policy. Some examples of this include: triggers from the in-car video system, foot pursuits, firearm discharge, officer lying prone (down), removal of firearm from holster, and even crossing through an action zone made by a CAD call. Depending on the severity of the situation, the BodyWorn camera can also send real-time alerts back to Central Dispatch and nearby officers.
