Friday, the United States Justice Department announced that the Obama Administration will launch a $20 million pilot program giving body cameras to police agencies across the nation.

This program is a part of Obama's proposal to purchase 50,000 body-worn cameras for police agencies with an investment of $75 million over a three year period.

A growing number of citizens voice their concerns for accountability and transparency.

Law enforcement and citizens alike believe that police  body cameras will help improve police-citizen relationships as well as "help protect good people on both sides of the lens."
